i am trying to simulate virtual pottery , i am trying to simulate by 2D bezier curves or 2d splines can any one have idea how can simulate this .

What part of the pottery are you planning to simulate? A kiln, a potter's wheel, glazing?

Why 2D curves? Most pots are 3D surfaces.
